Wait and See.

From early morning until late at night, it was a really, really rough day. Ranging from headaches to academics, it wasn't a very good. But throughout everything that came my way, I couldn't help but remember what the Scriptures tell us when events or speed bumps slow us down. When it comes to planning our own lives, we should just leave it up to God.

God derails our plans sometimes. That's just the way He works.

When it happens, we are called not to lose heart. Not sit and sulk and be mad about it. We just have to move forward and put all of our trust in God and His perfect plan. Because He is our loving Father, He works out things for what He wants for us, even when we don't expect/want Him to. His timing after all is better than our own.

1 To man belong the plans of the heart,
but from the LORD comes the reply of the tongue.
2 All a man's ways seem innocent to him, but motives are weighed by the LORD.
3 Commit to the LORD whatever you do,
and your plans will succeed.
4 The LORD works out everything for his own ends— even the wicked for a day of disaster.
5 The LORD detests all the proud of heart. Be sure of this: They will not go unpunished.
6 Through love and faithfulness sin is atoned for; through the fear of the LORD a man avoids evil.
7 When a man's ways are pleasing to the LORD, he makes even his enemies live at peace with him.
8 Better a little with righteousness
than much gain with injustice.
9 In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.
[Proverbs 16:1-9]

14 WAIT for the LORD;
be strong and take heart
and WAIT for the LORD.
[Psalm 27:14]

5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight.
[Proverbs 3:5-6]

Things don't happen the way we want them to for a reason. Whether it's with academics, relationships, careers, etc. God has a plan for each and every one of us and we shouldn't worry about what is or isn't going to happen tomorrow. We don't know what'll happen. We just have to take it one day at a time and wake up each and every day putting full trust in the Lord.

25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
28"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
[Matthew 6:25-34]

I firmly believe that God has a plan for me. Better than the one that I can come up with myself.

11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
[Jeremiah 29:11]

Things happened today that will change many things within the coming months. It's been a very, very long day and an even longer semester. I have an exam in the morning and I am homebound shortly thereafter.
Farewell YorkU

2Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
[James 1:2-4]
